Earth hour 2013 on March 23

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, the Philippines will again join millions of people around the world as we all literally “turn out the lights” for Earth Hour 2013. As you are very well aware of, Earth Hour is the world’s largest mass participation event that aims to heighten awareness on climate change and symbolize that working together, the people of the world can make a difference in the fight against global warming and pursue a common future. We hope to send a powerful global message that it’s possible to take action on global warming.

The Philippines has always been number one in terms of people’s participation in the last four years and we hope that this year we would still maintain this record.

Please enjoin your family, friends, relatives, community members, LGUs and other environmentally conscious citizens to switch off their lights from 8:30-9:30 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2013.
