Indanan, Sulu - For some time now fighting has been going on between warring families in Sitio Lampaki, Brangay Licop, Indanan, Sulu. Four (4) persons have been killed and seven (7) houses have been razed to the ground.
Aware of this security situation, district-in-charge Samoore Ladjahali talked to warring families and eventually resulted in a ceasefire. Because of his effort and the ceasefire, the joint graduation exercises at was finally held Panglima Indanan Central School grounds to the gratitude of pupils and parents in the district. The ruined houses are visible from the school.
DepEd-ARMM Regional Secretary Atty Jamar Kulayan who attended the joint exercises commended the initiative of the district-in-charge. He said, this is the kind of district leadership worthy of emulation in the ARMM.
