The Quiz Bee rounds on two levels; elementary and secondary. The elementary level is tagged into two learning areas; Makabayan and Mathematics while secondary level is solely on Science and Technology. Questions are categorized into four levels of difficulty;
1. Easy – with only two questions (1 point each)
2. Average – with three questions (2points each)
3. Difficult – with five questions (3points each)
4. Clincher – shall be employed just in case of tie vying either for the championship or the runners up.
In this year’s regional finals, only 8 Schools Divisions participate in the challenge for the regional championship and the national finals, viz.: Basilan, Lamitan City, Sulu, Maguindanao I and II, Lanao del Sur I-A and I-B, Lanao del Sur II, and Marawi City. Winners in different categories are shown below:

The
First Placers (Champions) on
different learning areas will represent DepED-ARMM in the National Quiz Bee
Summit and Grand Finals which will flow for three successive and
culturally-rich congregations and contest proper as all national finalists and
coaches will dress-up during the Grand Finals on the last day to showcase their
regional/local costumes. Grand finals for this year is set on March 14-16, 2013
in the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), Tagaytay City. (Ace Iya/BEE)
