Call for local NGO Service Providers for TechVoc Training

TECHNICAL, VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING FOR OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH IN THE ARMM PROVINCES

Australian AID and DepED-ARMM’s Basic Education Assistance for Muslim Mindanao (BEAM-ARMM) Program is contributing to the alleviation of poverty in ARMM and, in the longer term, to the emergence of sustainable peace through closely targeted investments in basic education that prepare ARMM to engage productively with economic opportunities as they arise. BEAM-ARMM is an education program that enables the children and youth of Muslim Mindanao to develop and reach their full potential. The Program delivers accessible and healthy learning facilities, quality teachers, quality learning materials, and a protective environment for children in need and out of school youth, through effective, transparent and accountable management systems.

A key component of BEAM-ARMM, the Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Project, aims to equip 15,000 disadvantaged and vulnerable out-of-school youths and senior high school students with employable technical, vocational and livelihood skills that will improve their livelihood skills and opportunities.

BEAM-ARMM’s Managing Contractor is seeking organizations with experience and high capacity in implementing or facilitating technical vocational and livelihood skills training for OSY in any or all of the provinces of Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi for immediate programming in those areas. Interested parties may request a detailed ToR by submitting a Letter of Intent and organizational profile to [email protected] by or before August 7, 2013.
