AusAID and DepED-ARMM Galvanize Sustainable Implementation and Management Approaches for BEAM-ARMM Program
On 17 January 2013, AusAID’s Basic Education Assistance for Muslim Mindanao (BEAM-ARMM) Program hosted 10 Schools Division Superintendents in a workshop in Davao to operationalize their engagement in the program at the division level.
DepED-ARMM Secretary Jamar Kulayan led the meeting, sharing that Superintendents are a key to
successful implementation and coordination at the division level and that their common understanding and continued commitment to the program is essential and recognized.
AusAID’s Elaine Ward commented that BEAM-ARMM represents a major commitment on behalf of the Australian Government to contribute to the alleviation of poverty in ARMM and, in the longer term, to the emergence of a sustainable peace through closely targeted investments in basic education.
An open exchange session encouraged superintendents to ask key thematic and implementation questions and were provided with clarification on approaches, good practices, and lessons learned to date. (BEAM-ARMM Press Release)
