Senate to investigate GSIS remittance mess, Basilan and Marawi loan privileges restored

The Senate finance and blue ribbon committees have announced that they will be investigating the P1.6 billion worth of premiums or contributions of public school teachers allegedly missing in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). (For full story, please click here ...)

In view of this development, the DepEd-ARMM has sent a briefer to the Senate on the matter as the former is now in the process of bringing together all pertinent documents in order to respond to the senators' queries...

Under the current leadership of Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman, DepEd-ARMM has signed a MoA with GSIS to update the members' service records. Another MoA was signed resolving the Basilan component which resulted to the restoration of the loan privileges. (For full story, please click here ...) Last week, another MoA was signed resolving the Marawi component of the problem.
